Hey, Hey Everybody !!!!
I know it's been a minute since my last entry but I've been trying to get some things happening. I've run into some pitfalls, but that is to be expected sometimes in this business.
I'd like to share with you some things that have occured over the last couple of months. I've got some good news and some bad news. I'm gonna start with the bad news first. I regret to inform our loyal fans that after 17 great years on Thursdays at Floods Bar & Grille here in Detroit, Gerard Gibbs & ReORGAN'YZ have reached the end of our run. We will always share fond memories of our times there and I am proud to say that Gerard Gibbs & ReORGAN'YZ had the longest run in the history of Flood's Bar & Grille. As the popular song says, 'Everything must change, nothing ever stays the same'. My group is looking forward to building up a new clientele of avid smooth jazz listeners at a new establishment. So, wish us luck!!!
Now for the good news, I announced a couple of months ago that my organ trio began a weekly appearance at Baker’s Keyboard Lounge on Wednesdays. Well, I'm very happy to announce that our new ‘B-3 Wednesdays’ are doing quite well. We are steadily building up a nice clientele and we are excited about taking this concept to new heights.
