Gerard Gibbs is one of the most dangerous players I know. I knew when I first met him over 10 years ago that he would be one of those players that everyone would have to move out of the way for. Now that he has nudged his way up the ranks, look out for what comes out of that mind through those hands (and feet). He joins the ranks of a long line of Detroit jazz ambassadors to explore and extend the sound of "what's already there" and take it to the next level. G2 is in the house. Peace out, bro. |

Thanks for an AWESOME show Saturday, August 2nd for the Jazz in the Park Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio. We had a van full of folks from Columbus, OH, down to visit with Marion Meadows' cousins Ellis and Rose, to see the band perform. Despite the rain, you brothers put on one of the most OUTSTANDING jazz concerts we've seen this year. Words will never be able to accurately express my gratitude or the range of emotions I experienced. I can honestly say that Loud & Clear, Inc. Staging and Sound Crew had you, Marion, and Jabari sounding like you brothers were in the studio recording. Again, I would like to thank you and Jabari for taking the time to chat with me and take photos. That was INCREDIBLE!!!! I will be in Detroit visiting family on Labor Day weekend and hope to see Gerald Gibbs & Organizes Crime perform. Thanks again for an evening of Jazz and fellowship I won't soon forget!!!
